I'm unsure of the tature of water to the northeast of Landershofen. But yesterday night I have seen a big hole in the Eurasia coastline near France IIRC. Such a hole could easily flood very big map areas with water.
To get more on tracking down broken coastlines, please do the poly_water_tiled search on our trac,navit-project.org.
According to such problems with the coastlines, I have a feature request for the planet extractor:
- ignore all coastlines
- every month 1x a check of the coastlines. If they are correct then a new import of the right coastlines
(its almost like the mapnik-map on OSM: they render the coastlines also just all few months 1x)
EDIT: Maybe its realizable with 2 different bin-Files: one bin-file with the coastlines (updates once a month or all 2 months) and one bin-file with all the other datas but no coastlines.
What do you think? Would this be a possiblility for the planet extractor?
