Hi, most of you know, that Navit has a Android port and is presence at the Google playstore, the default Android app repo.
But there are other repos as well, that haven't such legal restrictions or even focus on FLOSS. Afaik F-Droid is currently the most important one.

They already tried to build Navit, but run into strugles:

user:EFred seems to have problems with the build process, too.

So is anybody out there, who likes to put his energy to help both to get a flawless compiling build? Currently only cp15 is maintaining the port, including Google Play Store account, ticketing etc. Any way to disburden the maintainer?

(sorry I'm not a Android user nor dev)

Finally Navit is available on the F-Droid Repository.

The old version (1.0) which is currently still marked as being the newest one, will be deleted soon.

I was able to get a clear idea about this concept from the F-Droid Repository. Earlier, when I tried to build the Navit, I have to face some issues with the install, but these guidelines helped me out to make this happen after a few attempts.
