. . . . r6259 has the same strange behavior as r6255 from F-Droid on my android device: I can not stop it with the Quit button. Clicking the Quit button restarts Navit. The only way I found to quit Navit is the Restore action! I'm currently installing the android development software and will try to build the application myself. If that succeeds, I'll have a look inside...
I recently installed the latest from f-droid (they have only 0.5.0-6328 from 18Nov2015, not the latest from github/playstore) on an old Huawei Ideos U8150-B (it runs froyo and is rooted) and it has this similar issue. Even trying to force close it from phone settings->applications does not work, the button is greyed out.
I did find after some experimenting that if I use the 'Home" button to get back to the desktop, then select navit from the apps list as if I were trying to start a second instance, that it will now close properly if I select Exit. Alternately if I requested a route, it can also exit properly.
I installed the same version on a skytex skypad alpha 2 (that runs Ice Cream Sandwich) but that device does not have this issue.
Edit: Yes I saw
https://forum.navit-project.org/viewtop ... f=17&t=420 but that one was supposedly fixed and sounded somewhat different, I do not get the screen hangs mentioned there.
