Hi!

I am trying to load an additional *.csv file to show custom poi's with my android phone (Samsung galaxy i-9000, navit svn version 5543). Somehow I am not succeeding. A long time ago I (and older navit version) it used to work, unfortunately I don't have the saved the old config.

Following http://wiki.navit-project.org/index.php/Csv#Android_Issues I added the following line to navit.xml
Code:
<plugin path="$NAVIT_PREFIX/lib/libmap_csv.so" ondemand="no"/>

and added the csv file which is located in the same directory as my bin-file:
Code:
      <mapset enabled="yes">
         <maps type="binfile" data="/sdcard/navit/*.bin"/>
         <maps type="csv" data="/sdcard/navit/wea_sh.csv" item_type="poi_hotel" attr_types="id,position_latitude,position_longitude,label" />
      </mapset>

If I click an Settings->Maps it doesn't show up.

Loading the same file on my Linux box it works (navit version 5532) it works. I added the same line for the csv file:
Code:
<map type="binfile" enabled="yes" data="$NAVIT_SHAREDIR/maps/ger_den.bin" />
<map type="csv" enabled="yes" data="$NAVIT_SHAREDIR/maps/wea_sh.csv" item_type="poi_custom0" attr_types="id,position_latitude,position_longitude,label"/>

Any hints how I could load the csv file with android?

Thanx in advance
Chris

It looks like <maps> does not support csv files. Please use <map type="csv" ...> instead, it is working well for me.

I don't see any reasons to use <maps> to reference a single csv file. <maps> was thought to catch all binfiles from the path, not binding user to some set of predefined names. BTW, you may also use <maps> tag on your linux device.

Though I consider it to be a bug that we can't manage csv maps with the <maps> tag.

This also works for me! Problem solved!
(somehow I didn't realized that there's a difference between <maps ...> and <map ....> when copying the *.bin file line and substituting it with the csv values...)

Thank you for your help
