Hi there,

I am trying to install Navit v0.2.0 build 5385 on my PN2050S. On my PN2050S runs Windows CE 5.0. I get it to start the program but the program cant read the xml file. After some research i discovered that the navit logfile gets:
navit.log and the xml file gets:
navit.xml.local.

In the log file it says:
Code:
Navit log started
navit:main_real:No config file navit.xml, navit.xml.local found
Navit log started
navit:main_real:No config file navit.xml, navit.xml.local found

and thats repeading and the log file prevents the xml file from loading.

I hope that somebody has a suggestion how to fix this problem?

Yours sincerely,
Christian

Hi!

Where did you put your navit.xml on the device?

It was working fine for me on wince 6.0 device when it was reacheable on sd card navit folder. From device's point of view , it was at \sdcard\navit\navit.xml. navit.exe was at the same folder.

hi,

the navit.xml is in the root of the sd card( sd/navit.xml ). i had to do that because i had to change the navit.exe to vdoservice.exe. otherwise the navigation system dont recognizes the program

Hi,

I have made progres ;-)
I have downloaded a newer version( navit svn build 5821 ) and i have more logs. the only downside, navit still cant read the config file.

Code:
Navit log started
navit:file_init:Maps larger than 2GB are not supported by this binary, sizeof(off_t)=4
binding_win32:module_binding_win32_init:enter
support_libc:_stat:path=SYSTEM
support_libc:_stat:wide path=SYSTEM
support_libc:_stat:no file
navit:main_real:No config file navit.xml, navit.xml.local found

Anyone a idea?

So your navit binary is at the same directory, right?

Yes that is in the root directory.

In the root directory is:
  • espeak-data folder
  • locale folder
  • maps folder
  • xpm folder
  • vdoservice.exe( navit.exe )
  • navit.xml
  • navit.log

I'm not an expert on CE but maybe the problem is that the current dir might be different from the dir where you invoke the binary. But I don't know if you have a console where you can move to the folder manually, before you start navit from there?
